Citrine wagtail (female). Greek: kιτρoσoυσoυράδα (θηλική). Pera River, Afandou, April 2022.
Very rare passage migrant. Length 15-17 cm, wingspan 24-27 cm. Sexes similar, breeding male with bright-yellow head, female with yellow face and dark cheek patch; both sexes with grey back and white wing bars. Coastal lagoons, river mouths. Forages by picking food from ground, wading in shallow water, takes mainly aquatic invertebrates. Sings on perch, in flight, song mixes calls with warbles.
