Large white (female). Rhodes town, September 2020.
Common and widespread. Wingspan 55-70mm. Large black spots on forewings in females. Flies January to October in two or three generations. Diverse open habitats, including parks and gardens. Wings usually closed when at rest or feeding. Strong wavy flight. Roaming behaviour. Notorious preference for cabbage and related vegetables as host plants.
