Rare, small colonies in few locations in eastern and northern coastal areas. European distribution limited to south-eastern Bulgaria, the Greek mainland and a few Aegean islands. Easily overlooked due to small size, colouring and very short flights close to ground. Special protection by law in Greece. Wingspan 11-14 mm. Sexes similar. Flies March to October in two or three generations. Dry rocky areas with sparse vegetation and host plant Andrachne telephioides. Sedentary behaviour.
